Infants and Toddlers

At Tree Hill Learning Center we understand that in the first years of life, infants and toddlers are beginning to create a picture of who they are, what they can do, and what they think and feel.

During this special and significant stage, learning occurs at a rate unmatched by any other phase of life!

Establishing trusting relationships with the infants and toddlers in our care is of utmost importance to us.

Our primary goal is to provide a warm atmosphere where your little one will feel safe, secure and cared for.

Each day we provide enjoyable and engaging opportunities for learning and growth while maintaining a consistent routine for each child to aid in smoothing the transition from home to school.

With these goals in mind, we have created a nurturing program where we hope your young child will thrive. At this young age, children learn about themselves, their feelings and the people around them during each and every interaction and activity.

While we plan fun, developmentally appropriate activities and learning opportunities for our toddlers, we also allow the children to learn and discover at their own pace, encouraging individual exploration as well as group interaction.

"Children see magic because they look for it ."

The Seedlings Class

Our Seedlings class is a special place for young infants. We welcome babies as young as 3 months old to our program, and they begin to transition to our Acorns class at 12 months old.

With a 1:4 ratio, our Infant Specialists are able to attend to the needs of all babies in their care. We understand the importance of purposeful interactions with very young children, teachers will sing, read books, and count fingers and toes just like you would at home. We know how important consistency is for your family, our caregivers will work with you to maintain your child's ideal schedules and routines.

Knowing the importance of the bond you share with your baby, we encourage you to come in to rock, feed, and play with your baby if you are able to during your work day.

When you are away, our teachers will keep you updated about your child's day with the ProCare App.

We take great pride in caring for the tiniest members of our

Tree Hill Fam.

Parents can feel secure knowing that their little ones are safe and loved with our experienced teachers.

The Acorns Class

The Acorns class is designed for children 12 to 18 months. With a 1:6 ratio, our team can guide our sweet friends into toddlerhood.

Acorns is a transitional room between our Seedlings and Oak Leaves class, it is kept intentionally small to create a calm, intimate environment where children can gain confidence in their budding independence.

Some of our friends are working on independent feeding skills, reducing day time bottles, or refining their nap schedule. Every child has different needs when moving to a new classroom, we work with each family to create a transition plan that works for them.

This group of children loves to explore, learn, and laugh. Some of their favorite activities are playing with play-dough, singing, reading books, and exploring outside.

Every day we create an environment that is fun and inviting, whether we are playing a game or just being silly together. Our wonderful group loves working together while learning how to take care of ourselves and each other every day.

Our Acorns Team

Our Acorns teachers understand the unique needs of their age group. No longer babies, but not quite toddlers, and always teething! This is a tricky but precious age.

They love playing with your kiddos and are ready to help them learn all the things they need to know in order to join their Big Friends in the Oak Leaves class.

With a positive attitude and an eye for detail, our team is ready to support your little ones through this unique stage of life!

the Oak Leaves class

The Oak Leaves class is a perfect space for busy

children ages 18 to 30 months!

With intentionally designed learning centers and a consistent yet flexible schedule, it is a space for toddlers to grow and learn.

Learning goals for Oak Leaves range from self-help skills such as washing hands and putting on our shoes, to early literacy skills. Each day they are provided with learning opportunities during circle times and small group activities.

Some of our favorite learning activities include sensory exploration, story time, building with blocks, and a variety of art projects!

Social skills are a major learning goal in the Oak Leaves; at this age they are making huge developmental leaps in their sense of self and how other people fit into that. It takes a lot of practice to learn how to share space and resources with all of our friends, as well as asking adults for help with their  increasingly complex needs!
